It’s been two and a half days since Raja Jackson nearly beat professional wrestler, Syko Stu, to death on a live Kick stream, and the LAPD still have not arrested or charged him.
News came out on Sunday night that the LAPD were investigating the case, and those on scene at the KnokX event where the incident happened say police showed up 15 minutes after the brutal assault. It may have to do with KnokX management attempting to keep a lid on the situation.
Wrestler Doug Malo (a.k.a. “The Epic”) was the man who jumped in the cage and pulled Jackson off Stu (real name Stuart Smith). He just appeared on the Scaling Up podcast to discuss the incident, and his friend, Ian Morgan, shared private messages from a KnokX higher up asking them not to speak about the incident to authorities without “guidance” from the organization.
“People at this school are being encouraged to not cooperate with the police,” Morgan said. “From what I hear, the police were there investigating the scene shortly after Stu was removed, and there has been multiple requests that have gone downstream from upper management to not talk with the police directly if they are contacted and to only let a certain group of individuals interact with the police.
“That is extremely dishonest,” he continued. “You guys let your friend almost die, and now you’re trying to have people lie for you. And f–k you to every single person who replied to them, ‘Yes, sir.’ You are all weak sacks of s–t, and I hope you rot in hell. You are wasting oxygen that other people could be breathing. Go f–k yourself.
“And if you continue to be complacent in this investigation and you side with the people who you know are in the wrong, I wish nothing but the worst for you,” he concluded.
Malo also gave another update on Smith’s condition.
“Stu’s pretty f–ked up,” he said. “What happened yesterday is he choked on his own blood. Teeth and blood. [Lost] a lot of teeth. Broken facial bones. He was out on the slam and then the guy made contact multiple times.
“I remember seeing that, kind of being in shock, and then I just went running in,” he continued. “There was other people that could have gotten involved that I made eye contact with, but they just stayed by the stage. Let me put it this way: I’m sorry to Stu that the people that said that they were your friends let this happen.”
Jackson is a trained MMA fighter with a perfect amateur record (4-0) and winless (0-1) as a professional. He was on top of an unconscious Smith hitting him more than 20 times with full-blown ground-and-pound. What would have happened if Malo hadn’t stepped in?
“I promise you, he would have killed him,” Malo said.
There is now a GoFundMe created by Smith’s family to help cover the cost of his hospitalization and rehabilitation.
