Next year’s UFC White House fight card, set for July 4, 2026, marking America’s 250th anniversary, is already being hailed as the “baddest card of all time” in UFC history, according to UFC CEO Dana White. If Jon Jones and Conor McGregor get their way, the two biggest—and most controversial—names in MMA will headline this historic event.
That’s because both “Bones” and “Notorious” have hinted that their comeback fights will take place at the White House.
Jon Jones has been lighting up X/Twitter since President Donald Trump announced a UFC event on the White House lawn, even confirming he’s re-entered the drug-testing pool.
Today, he revealed that the chance to fight on this potential legendary card pulled him out of his brief two-week retirement.
“Donald made his announcement on the morning of the Fourth of July, I called the UFC headquarters that very same afternoon,” Jones wrote.” I’ll just leave it at that. America! Now that tickles my pickle.”

“It would be, for me, it’s about the opportunity to represent America at the White House. I don’t care who I fight that night. I found my reason why, that’s what I needed, something that was more than money,” Jones wrote in another tweet.
“It’s always entertaining watching the naysayers act like they’ve got me figured out. They forget this isn’t checkers, it’s chess. You don’t get this far in the game moving without purpose.”

Jones recently said he’s relieved to no longer hold the UFC Heavyweight Championship, noting it “feels nice to be the hunter, not the hunted, for once.” Yet, it’s unclear whether he’s targeting Tom Aspinall, whom he ducked, or another opponent.
If Jones hopes to secure a spot on this card, he’ll need to stay out of trouble until next year.
Meanwhile, another “Notorious” troublemaker, held a “ground breaking” BKFC press conference today (watch here) to announce a plethora of news and when he was asked if he was going to compete in the upcoming $25 million BKFC tournament, McGregor dropped a cheeky line that he’s head to the Oval Office for his next outing.
“I do like the dough, but I’m a business owner. Until I can clear my slate, it’s looking like I’m headed to the Oval Office again,” McGregor said. “That’s where I’m headed next.”
The odds of having McGregor compete on the UFC White House card are not good (seriously), but his boss says it’s completely possible.
Nevertheless, McGregor hasn’t fought inside the Octagon since breaking his leg back in 2021, and Chandler is coming off three losses.
