Former UFC welterweight Mike Perry will battle ex-UFC featherweight Jeremy Stephens for the “King of Violence” title atop the upcoming BKFC 82 fight card this weekend in Newark. At the conclusion of Thursday’s pre-fight press conference (watch the replay here), “Platinum” came face-to-face with “Lil’ Heathen” as Conor McGregor screamed in their faces.

“You do it,” BKFC President David Feldman told McGregor prior to the face offs. “That’s why you’re here.”

I guess press conferences now come with wins and losses, judging by the promotion’s tweet.

“We’re going to make each other bleed,” Perry told DAZN. “We’re going to try to hurt each other, and I’m going to try to hurt him way worse than he can hurt me. Headlining the card, I have a sense of responsibility for myself to protect myself at all times, to be as brutal as possible. It is the entertainment business. I do try to excite. I do try to entice. I do try to have fun, crack jokes.”

“And then it’s proven time and time again, every time I get in the ring, I take some licks and I give some licks,” Perry added. “I’m going to keep fighting as long as I can, no matter what. I look forward to shutting him down, putting my knuckles pressed up hard against his face, his cheekbones, his temples, and either making him quit or knocking him out cold, or we’ll see what we’re made of.”
