UFC Vegas 108 went down last night (Sat., Aug. 2, 2025) inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, which saw Tatsuro Taira submit Hyun Sung Park in round two of their Flyweight bout (highlights), while Chris Duncan defeated Mateusz Rebecki via unanimous decision in a back-and-forth brawl.

Biggest Winner: Tatsuro Taira
Yes, Park accepted the fight on short notice after Amir Albazi withdrew from the fight for undisclosed medical reasons; however, I feel people sometimes forget that the fighter who was left without a dance partner also accepted a last-minute change with a new foe. And let’s not forget that Park was set to compete next week, so it’s not like they pulled him from the couch to save the day. Onto the fight itself, Taira looked flawless in his performance, dominating his previously-undefeated opponent from the jump, mixing his striking and grappling together well before ending it all with a nasty face-crank. With the win, Taira gets himself back into the spotlight after coming up short in his last fight against Brandon Royval.

Runner Up: Neil Magny
The long-time veteran secured himself a much-needed victory, stopping Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos in the second round via devastating ground-and-pound after getting worked himself in the opening round. For Magny, it was a welcome win because he came into the event coming off back-to-back knockout defeats, and a third straight loss would’ve been detrimental for his UFC career. But, now that he is back into the win column after 1.5 years of not being there, Magny earned himself a new lease on his combat life, as well as some newfound confidence.

Biggest Loser (s): Elizeu Zaleski, Elves Brener
After coming up short against Magny, Zaleski has now dropped two straight and three of four overall. He started his UFC career with a 10-3 record and he’s now just 1-3 since June 2024. It’s not a good sign from the Brazilian, who is pushing 38 years of age. That makes you wonder if his best days are behind and if he needs to walk away from the sport before things get worse … not better. As for Brener, he suffered his third straight defeat after coming up short against Esteban Ribovics. That’s the exact opposite after he enjoyed a three-fight win streak to kick off his UFC career. Now, Brener will head into his next fight with immense pressure to snap his funk because if he doesn’t get back on track, he’s already a prime candidate for getting cut.
