There is a new champion sitting atop the Middleweight division — the one and only Khamzat Chimaev, who finally reached the pinnacle of the sport by dominating Dricus du Plessis at UFC 319 (see it again here). Now, “Borz” is the one with the target on his back and de Ridder is one of the men who is favored to be his first title defense. As it stands, Nassourdine Imavov is ranked No. 2 with five straight wins, so he has a better case than most. But, de Ridder is sitting pretty at No. 4 and is also on a five-fight win streak and is undefeated (4-0) inside the Octagon. The former ONE Light Heavyweight and Middleweight champion has his eyes set on UFC gold, and big wins over the likes of Bo Nickal and Robert Whittaker have helped his cause. But, there is one more obstacle in his way, and he has to get over it in impressive fashion to cut the championship line.

Allen, meanwhile, received a huge opportunity when he was pegged as Anthony Hernandez’s late replacement as the headliner. Currently ranked No. 9, Allen may not have a strong case for a shot at the title even in victory, but it at least gets him closer to a top ranking and inches him to his ultimate goal. Allen got back on track following back-to-back defeats to the aforementioned Imavov and Hernandez, defeating bitter rival, Marvin Vettori, at UFC 318. There was a time where Allen was considered a legit title contender, racking up seven straight wins in a two-year span from 2022 to 2024. But, back-to-back defeats really took the wind out of his sails. If he can stop de Ridder, it will give him the boost and confidence he needs to show the rest of the division his is still very much in play.

Aeimann Zahabi is currently riding a six-fight win streak and is coming off a big win over Jose Aldo, which is good enough to earn him the No. 9 spot on the official UFC rankings. For whatever reason, matchmakers decided to pit him up against Marlon Vera, who is currently on a two-fight losing streak and has lost three of his last four fights. Matchups like this frustrate me because Vera is only two spots ranked ahead of him, but he is on his way down, while Zahabi is on his way up (and scorching hot).

Hernandez was initially slated to face de Ridder to see who could get closer to a shot at the division strap before an unfortunate injury forced him out of action paving the way for Allen to fill the void to potentially cut the line at 185 pounds.

Rising women’s bantamweight contender, Melissa Croden, will be making her UFC debut after a short stint under the Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) banner where she went 2-1. She will battle Tainara Lisboa, who is 2-1 so far under UFC’s banner, suffering her first defeat inside the Octagon against Luana Santos, who submitted her this past May (see it again here).
After three straight wins, including a technical knockout win on Contender Series, Yousri Belgaroui will be making his UFC debut against Azamat Bekoev, who is currently riding an eight-fight win streak, which includes going two-for-two under UFC’s umbrella, both coming by way of technical knockout.

Hyun Sung Park isn’t used to losing, so you know he didn’t take it too lightly when he was submitted by Tatsuro Taira earlier this year (see it again here). Now, he will look to start another win streak when he faces Bruno Silva, who is currently on a two-fight skid after dropping back-to-back fights to Joshua Van and Manel Kape.
Charles Jourdain earned a new lease on his combat life after snapping his two-fight losing streak, defeating Victor Henry nearly one year ago. “Air” will now attempt to snap Davey Grant’s two-fight win streak when they collide in a hard-hit Bantamweight bout.
Djorden Santos came into UFC’s ranks with some hype after winning on Contender Series to extend his win streak to six. But, once he officially made his debut inside the Octagon, he was anything but impressive, losing a unanimous decision at the hands of Ozzy Diaz. Now, he will attempt to get his first win under UFC’s banner when he takes on Danny Barlow, who is also looking to get back on track after having his undefeated win streak of nine straight come to an end in his UFC debut at the hands of Sam Patterson.
In women’s Strawweight action, Stephanie Luciano vs. Ravena Oliveira will throw down in a battle of two women in need of a win. Luciano is coming off a tough split-decision defeat at the hands of Sam Hughes, which snapped her four-fight unbeaten streak. As for Oliveira, she saw her eight-fight win streak come to an end after she fell flat in her UFC debut against to the aforementioned Tainara Lisboa.

Drew Dober is currently in desperate need of a win after losing three straight, going 1-4 in his last five fights under UFC’s banner overall. He will face off against relative newcomer, Kyle Prepolec, who is 0-1 under UFC’s banner, losing his UFC debut to Benoit Saint-Denis earlier this year via submission (see it here). While Prepolec needs a win, t00 — to avoid dropping his first two contests under UFC’s banner — Dober needs a victory in the worst way because he could be on the chopping block should he lose his fourth in a row.

In the co-main event, Holland will return to action three months removed from his tough loss to Daniel Rodriguez at UFC 318, which snapped his two fight win streak. “Trailblazer” has always been up an down in his career and has never really been considered a true title contender because, at the end of the day, he has never put together enough wins to get into the conversation. And that may just very well be the story of his career, but he will look to entertain as long as he can. Up next, a fight against Mike Malott is on deck. “Proper” is 5-1 inside the Octagon and has won his last two fights. Getting a big win over Holland would be huge for his career.
Jasmine Jasudavicius is on the hunt for her sixth straight win when she faces off against Manon Fiorot. “The Beast” has not seen action since losing to current women’s Flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko, at UFC 315 earlier this year. Fiorot is currently ranked No. 2, so it won’t take too many big wins to put her back into championship fight consideration, starting with Jasudavicius.

In men’s Bantamweight action, Cody Gibson vs. Qileng Aori will throw down to see who can get back into the winner’s circle. Gibson is coming off a submission loss at the hands of Da’Mon Blackshear earlier this year, snapping his two-fight win streak. As for Aori, he hasn’t seen action in nearly a year after suffering a unanimous decision defeat at the hands of Raul Rosas Jr.
Kicking off the main card is a Lightweight fight between Kyle Nelson vs. Matt Frevola. Nelson has been out of action for nearly a year, losing to Steve Garcia via first round knockout back in Sept. 2024. As for Frevola, he has seen better days inside the Octagon because he hasn’t tasted the sweet taste of victory in nearly two years. Indeed, “The Steamrolla” has lost two straight and is in desperate need of a win to avoid getting the axe.
