The UFC debut of Andreas Gustafsson has been put on hold … again.
That’s because his opponent, Trevin Giles, somehow managed to injure himself before the UFC Vegas 107 weigh ins, forcing matchmakers to cancel their catchweight contest. Not a great look for an athlete coming off a three-fight losing streak.
This marks the second time Gustafsson’s Octagon debut has been delayed. “Bane,” who emerged victorious on Dana White’s “Contender Series” to earn a UFC contract last summer, withdrew from the UFC Vegas 101 lineup in January after suffering a neck injury.
Giles has yet to comment on the nature of his injury.
