“Remember The Name” might be fighting Gordon Ryan instead ofCanelo Alvarez.
No. 5-ranked Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC) Welterweight, Jack Della Maddalena, will challenge for his first world title against champion, Belal Muhammad, at UFC 315 next month (Sat., May 10, 2025) inside Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Maddalena is known for his elite boxing, but he insists his grappling is vastly under-appreciated. The Australian recently proved this, submitting and putting fellow Aussie, Craig Jones — the self-proclaimed “King of Jiu-Jitsu” — to sleep with a D’Arce choke in a video shared on Jones’ Instagram.
Watch it below:
Of course, fans branded it fake once the video hit the Internet …
Craig is the type of friend to let him do it for the clout

Maddalena has been going all-out for his first UFC title fight and main event, also training with newly-crowned (again) Featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski.
“JDM” is riding an impressive 17-fight win streak with seven of those wins coming inside the Octagon. His most recent win came against multi-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion Gilbert Burns, in which he knocked out in an incredible comeback win (watch highlights).
Stand and bang?
