“The Venezuelan Vixen” just scored some cool custom shorts.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s Bantamweight champion, Julianna Pena, defends her title against surging powerhouse and heated rival, Kayla Harrison, at UFC 316 this weekend (Sat., June 7, 2025) inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Just four days before the anticipated 135-pound title showdown, Pena had her UFC 316 custom shorts revealed … and they came out looking pretty cool.
And for what it’s worth, this is the second pay-per-view (PPV) in a row that a women’s champion has received custom shorts.
Check them out below:
While Pena sticks to the UFC champion’s classic black-and-gold palette, her kit stands out with distinctive designs that reflect her cultural heritage and personal journey.
A press release explained Pena’s idea:
“In designing her kit, Peña drew inspiration from her Venezuelan, Mexican, and American roots, while also honoring her Native American heritage. The kit blends elements of national flags with Aztec-inspired motifs, creating a design that reflects strength, tradition, and pride.”
The sports bra and fight shorts incorporate elements of the national flags of Venezuela, Mexico, and the United States, and the shorts trim is an Aztec design.
Dedicated fans can purchase the shorts for $129.99 and the top for $49.99.
Pena joins an elite group of fighters with custom fight shorts, including Jon Jones, Ilia Topuria,Max Holloway, Merab Dvalishvili, Alexander Volkanovski, Alex Pereira, Paddy Pimblett, and Valentina Shevchenko, among a few special others.
