VICE TV today announced a new partnership with Professional Fighters League (PFL), serving as the exclusive linear U.S. telecast home for 10 international events, beginning with two in December and continuing with eight more throughout 2026. That includes the PFL MENA Championships on Dec. 5 from Saudi Arabia and the PFL Africa Championships on Dec. 20 from Benin, West Africa. In addition to live broadcasts, VICE will provide distributors with free on-demand access to 50 hours of PFL library fights.
“VICE TV audiences come to us for the high-octane, provocative and compelling content they can’t find anywhere else,” said VICE TV President Peter Gaffney. “As we continue enhance our live sports slate, we’re proud to welcome Professional Fighter’s League to our line-up and give our viewers and PFL fans across the US access to these international fights for the first time on television.”
“The tournament structure was asking a lot of the fans,” PFL CEO John Martin told Ariel Helwani. “If you’re the challenger brand, if you’re not the UFC in this instance, there’s gonna be a desire when people look at you to go, ‘Well why do I have to pay any attention to you? What’s your hook? How are you different?‘ The format is one easy way. You can say, ‘Well they do it this way, we’re gonna do it this way.‘ I said, let’s just simplify it because the fighters are good enough. We could put on some pretty world-class events without having to make it overly complicated. So, I just think that there’s a reason why the formats work in combat sports, and I think now is the time for us to more conform.”
