UFC 320 goes down on October 4th in Las Vegas, Nevada and features a light heavyweight title rematch between champion Magomed Ankalaev and the man he took the title from, Alex Pereira. While Pereira may be the favorite in our hearts, he’s not the favorite according to the sportsbooks, who have “Poatan” an underdog coming into the fight.
Pereira and Ankalaev last fought in March, with Ankalaev winning a 48-47×2, 49-46 unanimous decision over the popular Brazilian. Since then, “Poatan” has been taking the time to heal his body and add some serious weight to his frame — the last time he stepped on a scale for the cameras, he was 243 pounds.
That extra muscle may keep him from getting bullied in the cage, but it’s not enough to convince bookies he’s going to win.

Following UFC CEO Dana White’s announcement that Pereira and Ankalaev would rematch at UFC 320, Sportsbetting.ag odds for the bout sit at -220 for Magomed Ankalaev and +185 for Alex Pereira. This is the first time “Poatan” has opened as an underdog since his first fight with Jiri Prochazka back in 2023, and bettors bet on that line until he became the favorite. You’d have to go all the way back to UFC 287: Pereira vs. Adesanya 2 for a fight where “Poatan” closed the underdog.
In other betting news, Merab Dvalishvili is a strong -350 favorite over +285 challenger Corey Sandhagen in the UFC 320 co-main event, and Jiri Prochazka is a slight -160 favorite over Khalil Rountree at +140.
UFC 321’s big heavyweight title fight between Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane has the same odds as Dvalishvili vs. Sandhagen — Aspinall is the -350 favorite against +285 Gane, who we hope has been dusting up on his takedown defense and grappling skills.
