As mixed martial arts evolves, young fighters are mastering skills at an unprecedented pace, arriving inside UFC’s Octagon battle-ready. And at just 19, Chechen phenom, Ansar Khamzaev, is already a UFC-caliber talent.
This isn’t mere hype. At Kill Cliff FC in Florida, UFC veterans marvel at Khamzaev’s ability to dominate elite fighters in training daily.
“I won’t name names, but he runs through Top 10 UFC fighters and finishes them,” UFC Light Heavyweight, Tuco Tokkos, told MMAmania.com (translating for Khamzaev). “He often holds back to respect his teammates.
“Even me — a f—king Light Heavyweight — I feel his strength when we spar,” Tokkos continued. “He climbs my back, testing chokes. He’s a freak. He walks into local jiu-jitsu gyms and ragdolls high-level black belts. This kid’s the real deal.”
Fighting is all that Khamzaev knows and has been competing since he was six years old.

Now undefeated (3-0) as a professional, he could’ve racked up eight more fights by now if opponents weren’t so hard to come by.
The good news? Earlier this month (April 18, 2025), Khamzaev earned his big break with Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA), a premier MMA regional promotion. Though slotted on the “Prelims” undercard, he still managed to steal the spotlight.
Indeed, facing 27-year-old prospect, Abbas Abasov, Khamzaev dismantled him in a minute, smiling at the camera as he rendered him unconscious with a choke.

Khamzaev’s relentless style draws comparisons to No. 1-ranked Middleweight contender, Khamzat Chimaev, another Chechen star. Yet, Khamzaev rejects the parallel, determined to carve his own path.
His next goal? UFC or bust. And he certainly makes a bold case.
“I want a UFC chance because Ciryl Gane joined UFC with a 3-0 record at 30 years old,” Khamzaev said. “I’m 19 years old at 3-0 and I put my three opponents to sleep. If they just give me a chance, I will show, I will smash anyone in Top 15 — I’m ready.”
