With the early (and official) weigh ins already in the books, the boxing stars will trot on out for the cameras and get us all hyped up for some big glove punching tomorrow night (Sat., June 28, 2025) inside Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Social media titan, Jake Paul, will fight just his second seasoned professional boxer (or at least those unable to get an AARP card) in his career tomorrow night, colliding with former WBC Middleweight champion, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Ten rounds of Cruiserweight action as we find out what the competitors have cut down to and if they’ve managed to clear the weight hurdle.
Spoiler alert: They did!
On a much more competitive note, the co-main event is a fight worth watching. WBA and WBO Cruiserweight champion, Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez, is putting his straps on the line against Yuniel Dorticos. Ramirez (47-1, 30 KOs), is the former WBO Super Middleweight champ and the first Mexican to win titles in those weight classes.
Ramirez is the favorite, and has said he would like the winner of the Paul vs. Chavez main event next (assuming he isn’t fighting other champions like Jai Opetaia, Dmitry Bivol or David Benavidez, of course).
Oh, and there’s one more undercard fight that just about everyone on this here site will know at least one half of. Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight champion, Holly Holm, is making her return to boxing tomorrow night against Yolanda Vega.
