Violence is coming to Dubai.
Karate Combat returns this weekend (Fri., May 2, 2025) for its third event of the year, landing in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a stacked card featuring prominent fighters.
The main event showcases a Heavyweight championship collision between defending champion and former UFC fighter, Sam Alvey, and kickboxing legend Tyrone Spong.
In addition, UFC-blacklisted Flyweight, Muhammad Mokaev, makes his Karate Combat debut against fellow grappler, Bolat Zamanbekov.
Two submission specialists stepping into a striking-focused promotion … cool?
A super fiery showdown between Ali Alqaisi vs. Abdullah Chandio is also set to ignite, assuming the volatile pair can save their energy for the fight instead of clashing at every opportunity.
Also worth highlighting here is a special grappling bout in Karate Combat’s “Pit Submission Series” that will feature almost-UFC Lightweight title challenger, Arman Tsarukyan, against Islam Makhachev’s teammate, Makkasharip Zaynukov.
