The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) is back, for some reason, with Season 33 featuring head coaches and retired UFC fighters Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen. Unlike the old days of TUF, Cormier and Sonnen won’t be squaring off at the end of the season, but they both have big mouths and quick wits, (hopefully) making the show more entertaining.
Personally, it’s hard to sit through TUF now that we have Dana White’s “Contender Series,” which is all of the action with none of the filler.
For those fight fans still interested in the promotion’s combat sports reality show, or those curious onlookers who plan to catch Episode 1 and see if it’s worth sticking around, the action gets underway TONIGHT (Tues., May 27, 2025) at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and ESPN+ (sign up here) in the United States and will run every Tuesday night for the next 12 weeks.
Canadian fight fans can stream TUF 33 on UFC Fight Pass and Sportsnet, while viewers in Mexico can tune into UFC Fight Pass. For global streaming options outside of North America click here.
Aspiring fighters selected during an open casting call (listed below) will compete in the flyweight (125 lbs.) and welterweight (170 lbs.) divisions in hopes of securing UFC’s coveted “six-figure contract.”
