‘Go Ahead And Bet The Farm’

Wait, I thought we were trying to, “save the farm?!?!?!?”

No. 13-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight, Bryce Mitchell, returns to action against red-hot Brazilian madman, Jean Silva, at UFC 314 this weekend from inside Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

And though the initial betting odds were sky-high, Mitchell remains a steep underdog against “Lord.” Undeterred, he’s urging everyone to wager big — bet the house, or in his world, the farm — on his victory.

“I believe so,” Mitchell told reporters when asked if he was being unfairly discounted. “But, I think this is a great time for all my friends to bet and make a tremendous amount of money off me.

“So, go ahead and bet the farm,” Mitchell concluded. “These are the best odds I’ve had in a long time. If you’re a betting man, cast your bet.”

Before facing Ilia Topuria at UFC 282 back in Dec. 2022, where Mitchell was a +150 underdog, his previous highest odds as an underdog in UFC were against Charles Rosa at UFC 249 in May 2020, where he was listed at around +120.

Mitchell got wrecked by Topuria (watch highlights) and decisioned Rosa after nearly submitting him on numerous occasions.

Nevertheless, Mitchell undeniably brings huge value to this 145-pound holy war.

The lopsided odds boil down to three factors: Silva’s blistering win streak, public backlash over Mitchell’s ridiculous Adolf Hitler remarks, and Silva’s devastating power — especially after Josh Emmettknocked Mitchell stiff back in 2023 (watch it).
