Welterweights have been added to July’s pay-per-view (PPV).
No. 14-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight Kevin Holland has been rebooked against Daniel Rodriguez for UFC 318, which goes down next month (Sat., July 19, 2025) inside Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The two 170 lb fighters were originally booked for UFC 279, but after the madness occurred (details), Holland was matched up against Khamzat Chimaev (watch highlights), and Rodriguez fought Li Jingliang.

Holland (28-13) will be competing for the fourth time when he enters the cage next month. He most recently submitted Vicente Luque in the first round at UFC 316 (watch highlights). Prior to that, he defeated Gunner Nelson at UFC London and got submitted by Reinier de Ridder at UFC 311, kicking off his 2025 campaign.
“Trailblazer” has already announced he wants to break his UFC record of most bouts in 12 months in UFC history (7), and he is well on his way. He is also tied with Neil Magny and Roger Huerta for most wins in a calendar year in UFC history (5).

Rodriguez (19-5) has now won two straight fights since his dreaded three-fight skid. In his most recent outing, he knocked out Santiago Ponzinibbio in the third round of UFC Des Moines (watch highlights)
With a win at UFC 318, he will get himself back into the Top 15 rankings.
