With Amir Albazi benched until further notice, undefeated flyweight up-and-comer and “Road to UFC” alum Hyun Sung Park will step up on short notice to battle No. 6-ranked Tatsuro Taira atop the revised UFC Vegas 108 fight card on Sat. night (Aug. 2, 2025) on ESPN and ESPN+ at the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Both fighters came face-to-face at the conclusion of the UFC Vegas 108 weigh ins event earlier today in “Sin City” (get full weigh ins results and video here).
Taira is hoping a victory can lead to the next flyweight title shot.
“Obviously, experience [will play a factor], but also, simply, skill set wise, I just want to show where I am and where he is in terms of the experience and skill sets,” Taira told MMA Fighting. “I’m ready to prove what kind of fighter I am, the strength I have with the win. And I’ll wait to see who wins between [Alexandre] Pantoja and [Joshua] Van and hopefully I get the next shot. Pantoja has proven a lot. It’ll be a jiu-jitsu vs. boxing battle, for sure. I think Pantoja’s jiu-jitsu will win the fight.”
We’ll find out at some point later this year.
