Eddie Hall destroyed Mariusz Pudzianowski at KSW 105 last weekend in Poland.

Unfortunately, his mixed martial arts (MMA) debut did not come without its share of controversy. That’s because Hall treated the back of Pudzianowski’s head like DK Bongos, leading to a warning from the referee … and not much else.

Hall won by first-round technical knockout.

“My bad,” Hall said in a post-fight interview posted to TikTok. “I thought you have your drink, and then the referee says the rules, and then you touch gloves. It’s different here in Poland. My apologies. That’s my inexperience. Obviously, when he was on the floor, I was just hammerfisting. You just lose — again, my apologies, my first fight. I think I hit him once or twice in the back of the head. Then I heard the ref shout at me, and it clicked, and then I went back to the face. So again, my apologies. My experience — I wouldn’t like to be hit in the back of the head, so I’m sorry, Mariusz. But these things happen. It was an accident.”

Their super heavyweight showdown was contested under modified rules.

I appreciate Hall’s willingness to run it back; however, I doubt fight fans are interested in watching the 48 year-old Pudzianowski take another beating from Hall — or anyone else, for that matter, after losing three straight by way of knockout.

How about this rematch instead?
